ABOUT US

FOAD is the flagship IP of game studio FUTURE TRASH. The project FOAD began in 2022 as an ambitious indie game built in Unreal Engine 5. The small team of four devs built a vertical slice MVP, which you can download and play on Steam by requesting early access. FOAD struggled to reach players, and with limited resources for marketing, FUTURE TRASH needed to rethink its plans for FOAD to find its’ audience. 

In March 2023 at GDC, Epic announced Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN). FUTURE TRASH took a step back, evaluated the tools, and saw a path forward for FOAD. The team began rapidly prototyping game experiences spanning genres such as MOBA, Tycoon, and Combat. The results were every indie dev’s dream, to see real engagement from real players at mass scale.

FOAD will continue to build in UEFN, with plans to pickup development on the UE5 core game soon.
